How We Help
A US visitor visa application needs to explain clearly why you are travelling, how the trip will be funded and why the proposed visit is genuinely temporary. Lawyers for Expats Thailand helps Thai citizens prepare the application and supporting evidence around their real travel plans and personal circumstances.
How We Help
A US visitor application is prepared around your circumstances, not a template. Here is what happens from the first call through to the decision.
We start by understanding why you want to travel to the United States, who you intend to visit, how long you plan to stay and how the trip will be funded.
We identify and organise the financial, employment, business, family, travel and supporting evidence relevant to your individual circumstances.
We help prepare the application so your travel purpose, personal circumstances and supporting information are presented clearly and consistently.
We help organise the application and supporting material and explain the next stages of the process, including the consular interview where required. The final visa decision is made by the relevant US consular authority, not Lawyers for Expats Thailand.
What We Do For Our Clients
A visitor application touches the purpose of travel, funding and the applicant's circumstances in Thailand together. Here is the actual scope of what our team handles.
The application begins with the genuine reason for travelling. Possible temporary visitor circumstances can include tourism, holidays, visiting a partner, visiting relatives, visiting friends, attending appropriate temporary events, and other permitted temporary visitor purposes.
Do all Thai applicants need the same documents for a US visitor visa?
No. The supporting evidence depends on the purpose of the visit and the applicant's individual circumstances. We build the application around the real trip rather than using one identical document checklist for everyone.
A visitor application concerns a temporary stay. Relevant circumstances can include employment in Thailand, business interests, family responsibilities, financial circumstances, studies where relevant, property or other established circumstances where relevant, travel history where relevant, and the planned length and purpose of the trip. This evidence is considered as a whole, not reduced to a single factor.
Do I need to prove that I will return to Thailand?
A visitor visa application needs to be consistent with a genuine temporary visit. Your circumstances in Thailand and the purpose and duration of the proposed trip can therefore be important parts of the application.
The application should make clear who is paying, how the trip will be funded, accommodation arrangements, expected travel costs, and whether another person is contributing. Possible funding can come from the applicant, a partner, a relative, or another legitimate source depending on circumstances.
Can my American partner or family member pay for my visit?
Another person may contribute towards the cost of the trip, but financial support alone does not determine whether a visitor visa will be issued. The application still needs to reflect a genuine temporary visit and the applicant's overall circumstances.
Relevant Thai evidence may include, depending on circumstances, employment evidence, business evidence, financial documents, civil documents, relationship evidence where relevant, family evidence, travel information, identity documentation, and other supporting material, with translations where appropriate.
US visitor visa applications commonly involve completing the required application information, preparing supporting evidence, paying the relevant government fee through the official process, scheduling the required appointment where applicable, attending a consular interview where required, and providing biometrics as required by the US process. We help you understand and prepare for the process — we do not script false answers.
We help ensure the application information is consistent, supporting documents are organised, the travel purpose is clearly explained, funding is documented, relationship or family evidence is organised where relevant, and that you understand the next procedural steps and how to address additional documentation requests where appropriate.
Who decides whether my US visitor visa is approved?
The final visa decision is made by the relevant US consular authority. Lawyers for Expats Thailand helps prepare the application and supporting evidence but does not control or guarantee the outcome.
