Is your lease safe or even legal

Updated: Aug 22, 2021

Many foreigners who purchased their home in Thailand opted for a leasehold arrangement on the land.

Have you been offered or have you entered into a lease arrangement that is promising a automatic renewal after the first 30 years?

The renewal of a lease in Thailand is not a Perpetuity.

There is no automatic right of renewal .

The current maximum term for a lease is 30 years.(section 540 of the civil and commercial code).

Have you been made false promises and entered into an agreement that is not enforceable or legal.
